" ...Get five friends together and direct a play."--Gregory Mosher, director

I love the theatre for the story-telling, the play-acting and the make-believe.

My influences and inspiration are wide and varied: Ionesco, teachers Robert Beath and Tom Ward, Cafe Cino & Theatre Genesis(the off-off-Broadway movement), Shaw, Peter Brook's Hamlet,Strindberg, Jungle of the Cities at Intiman early 80's, Matthew Maguire and Susan Mosakowski, Marat/Sade,Ingmar Bergman, Howard Barker, Harley Granville-Barker,Robert LePage, Brook's The Empty Space, Harold Clurman, Max Frisch, Ivanov (RSC), David Mamet, Monty Python, The Clash, naked women, Albert's Bridge at the King's Head 1976, Mac Wellman, Nikolai Gogol, William Ball, Sean O'Casey, Caryl Churchill, NYC, and Sam Shepard.

I received my MFA in Theatre from the University of British Columbia in 2000 and my BA in Theatre from Western Washington University in 1980.

Vladimir VeranoVladimir Verano (Graphic Artist, Founder, (a)muse(d) )

Having low friends in theatrical places it was inevitable that I would be drawn into its gravity well through a blistering stint as ‘Mike’ in the first script reading of “The Fall Classic.” My appreciation for the determination, creativity, and chaos of people involved in drama has proven that my participation in Outsider’s Inn makes for an inspiring, challenging collaboration.

I’m a self-taught artist—in all areas; pen and ink, paint, sculpture, graphic design, computer art. I make for a grumpy student of new mediums, but compensate for that flaw by a being tenacious and humble experimenter.

I have experienced life on both sides of the Equator, and therefore, being a mutt of cultures I find the mongrel nature of upstart theatre a perfect fit for me.
